Axis Bank Q3 net profit up 66% at ₹307 cr
Mumbai: Private lender Axis Bank Wednesday reported 66.20% increase in net profit at ₹ 306.83 crore for the quarter ended 31 December, 2007 as compared to ₹ 184.61 crore for the same quarter in the previous fiscal.
Total income increased 58.54% to ₹ 2,290.24 crore for the quarter ended 31 December, 2007 from ₹ 1,444.55 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago, Axis Bank informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Shares of Axis Bank were trading at ₹ 1,098.10, up 2.76% on the BSE in afternoon trade.
The Bank also said it has appointed K.N. Prithviraj on its Board of Directors with immediate effect. Prithviraj is the nominee of the administrator of the Specified Undertaking of the Unit Trust of India.
