JSW Energy to set up 660 MW power plant

Mumbai: Power utility JSW Energy said on Monday it received board approval to set up a 660 MW power plant at Vijayanagar in south Indian state of Karnataka at an estimated cost of Rs3,300 crore.
The super critical technology-based project would be funded with a debt equity ratio of 3:1, it said in a statement.
The company also received board approval to create a special purpose vehicle for its 240 MW Kutehr hydroelectric power project being set up at Chamba district in Himachal Pradesh, it said.
Earlier, the firm said net profit for the September quarter rose 6.32% to Rs185 crore.
