Mumbai: Cox and Kings Global Services (CKGS), a 100% subsidiary of travel firm Cox and Kings Ltd, has tied up with DNATA, part of the Dubai-based Emirates Group, to provide visa processing services to Dubai, Sharjah, UAE and to promote and sell Marhaba — meet & greet — services in India for passengers arriving, departing and transiting through Dubai International Airport. CKGS and DNATA will form a joint venture C&K Marhaba Dubai Visa (CNKMDV) to facilitate obtaining a Dubai Visa quickly.
This facility will help eliminate the time-consuming process of coordinating with the hotel and the local sponsor in Dubai. Through CNKMDV, travelers can apply online and obtain the visa in three working days. However, the decision to grant visa is the sole prerogative of DNRD, Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department, also known as Dubai Immigration.
CNKMDV will process two types of visas—tourist and transit visas. Tourist visas are valid for a maximum period of 30 days after entry and will cost Rs 4,550, whereas the 96-hour-visa (short stay visa), will cost Rs 3550.
CNKMDV will also offer Marhaba Services to its customers. Rs.Marhaba’ which means Rs.welcome’ in Arabic reflects the warmth and hospitality of the Arab culture. Marhaba offers Meet and Greet service near the aircraft, buggy service, personal escorts through passport control, assistance at the conveyor belt, porterage, customs and hand over at the pick up point. It also provides exclusive departure and transit services through security, transfer desk with Marhaba lounge service along with Buggy car assistance.
According to Sanjay Bhaduri, chief executive officer at Cox and Kings Global Services, ”this facility will enable large number of Indians travelling to Dubai with a smooth and seamless experience.”
CNKMDV has set up offices in 11 cities across India with its headquarter based in Mumbai. The centres include Delhi, Amritsar, Jaipur, Kolkatta, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
