MBL Infra gets favourable ruling against NHAI

Mumbai: MBL Infrastructures Ltd said on Wednesday a tribunal has ruled in its favour in a dispute with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and awarded the firm Rs64.3 million.

The dispute was about a contract dating back to August 2006, involving the short-term improvement and routine maintenance of a section of National Highway 2, MBL said in a statement to the exchange.

The company said it had completed the contract on 31 December 2007.

The NHAI had purported to terminate the contract with effect from 1 January 2008, MBL added.
