Videocon Industries net profit up 5.55% at Rs18.61 crore in December quarter
Videocon’s net sales during the quarter declines 2.25% to `3,135.14 crore from `3,207.4 crore last year
New Delhi: Videocon Industries on Monday reported 5.55% increase in standalone net profit at ₹ 18.61 crore for the quarter ended December 2014.
The company had reported a standalone net profit of ₹ 17.63 crore for the same quarter a year ago, Videocon said in a BSE filing.
The company’s net sales during the quarter stood at ₹ 3,135.14 crore, down 2.25% from ₹ 3,207.4 crore in the same quarter last year.
Its revenue from consumer electronics and home appliances segment increased marginally by 1.51% to ₹ 2,888.96 crore and revenue from crude oil and natural gas segment declined 34.88% to ₹ 244.66 crore.
Revenue from power vertical decreased by 0.70% to ₹ 4.21 crore.
Meanwhile, in a separate filing, Videocon said it has appointed Ramabai V. Dhoot as a director of the company. Videocon Industries shares ended 0.19%) down at ₹ 160.75 apiece on the BSE.
