SCI to float tender for 6 anchor handling vessels
Mumbai: Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) will float a domestic tender for 6 anchor handling vessels for about $19 million each, director Arun Kumar Gupta told reporters on the sideline of an industry conference.
State-run SCI is increasing its presence in the offshore sector and plans to spend $250 million to acquire 10 offshore vessels, nine of them in the current fiscal, the firm had said in June.
Its current fleet stands at 81, eleven of these being offshore supply vessels.
Shares of SCI ended 0.12% up at ₹ 82.65.
