Mumbai: IT services company HCL Infosystems today posted an increase in net profit at Rs72.13 crore for the quarter ended 30 September whereas the same was at Rs67.07 crore for the corresponding period last year.
The total income of the company also moved up to Rs3,109.59 crore for the same quarter while it stood Rs2,797.38 crore for the same quarter last year.
The standalone profit of the company rose to Rs3,101.35 crore for the reviewed quarter whereas it was at Rs532.36 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago.
However, the results of the company were not comparable as the telecommunication and office automation business of HCL Infinet Ltd were amalgamated with HCL Infosystems after 31 March, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The board of directors of the company had also approved the payment of interim dividend for the year 2007-08 at Rs2 per share, the company added.
Scrips of the company were trading at Rs221.80, down 3.27% in the afternoon trade on BSE.
