Tata Sky Ltd, the direct-to-home joint venture between the Tata group and STAR Group, said it would not start a price war to compete with SunDirect TV.

The minimum price of Tata Sky’s South package is Rs200. Against this, Sun Direct offers 75 channels for Rs75.

“One would target the market at the bottom of the pyramid only after thepremium market is addressed. We believe there is market potential at the top," said Vikram Kaushik, managing director and chief executive officer of Tata Sky.
