LIC’s North zone office tops target collections

New Delhi: In a sign that insurance continues to make inroads in the country, the Life Insurance Corp.’s (LIC) north zone office, which contributes nearly a fifth of the total revenue, has seen its first-year premium collections soar to Rs8,600 crore through March, well above the internal target of Rs4,292 crore. While there was no standout product that led the charge, LIC attributed the performance to aggressive marketing.
