Mumbai: Jaiprakash Hydro Power, a Jaypee Group company, on 28 July announced a standalone net profit of Rs54.6 crore for the first quarter of current fiscal, a marginal growth of 8.35% over the year-ago period.
The company had a net profit of Rs50.39 crore in the first quarter of last fiscal, Jaiprakash Hydro said in a filling to the BSE.
Total income of the company rose to Rs101.84 crore in the June quarter this year, from Rs100.82 crore a year-ago.
Meanwhile, the board of directors have suggested various options of restructuring of the company, including amalgamation of firms, that have synergies with its business.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs55, up 1.66% on the BSE.
R Systems Q2 net up 44% at Rs5 crore
Information technology company R Systems International Ltd on 28 July announced a net profit of Rs4.64 crore for the second quarter ended 30 June 2008, up 44.09% over the corresponding period a year-ago.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs3.22 crore for the June quarter in 2007, R Systems said in a filing to the BSE.
“We had a good quarter with revenues recording a growth of 54% year-on-year to cross Rs90 crore and EBIDTA increasing to Rs11 crore with y-o-y growth of 147% and q-o-q growth of 13%,” R Systems International chairman and managing director Rekhi Singh said.
Total revenue of the company rose to Rs90.56 crore in the latest quarter, from Rs58.93 crore a year-ago.
However, corporate clients are exercising caution in undertaking new initiatives because of bad economic news, which means we are entering a challenging period, Singh added.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs89.30, up 5.62% on the BSE.
