New Delhi: Reed Exhibitions, a global company specializing in organizing exhibitions and conferences wants to make India its business hub and is ready to acquire at least 12 new brands over the next three years at an investment of $50 million.
“Our target is to acquire a minimum of four exhibition brands each year, in fact three will be acquired by mid-March 2008”, said the company’s India COO and director, Mandeep Singh.
He added that the company would invest in improving facilities of exhibition halls to make the comparable to world-class standards.
Last year, they acquired two brands - ‘Aluminium India´ and electronic equipment show, ‘Componex India´and also organized an electronic equipment show ‘Componex´for the first time in the national capital.
“Componex is a 15-year old B2B event and this time it was the largest electronic show in Asia. We brought in our global electronic expo brand - ‘Nepcon´ and organized ‘Aluminium India´ exhibition in Mumbai from February 22-24.
Reed Exhibition started its business in the country in 2006 by putting together three events. They plan to organize seven exhibitions in the current year. They clocked a revenue of $4 million last year and expect a turnover of $7 million in 2008.
