New Delhi: India’s leading education technology start-up Byju’s, managed by Bengaluru-based Think and Learn Pvt. Ltd, has become the subject of a case study published by Harvard Business School.

The paper titled “BYJU’s The Learning App" was co-authored by John J-H Kim, a senior lecturer at Harvard who teaches a course on entrepreneurship and technology innovations in education and Rachna Tahilyani, a research associate at Harvard Business School’s India research centre.

It was published in March.

According to the abstract on Harvard’s website, the paper explores Byju’s growth in India and the challenges to its expansion into the US and other English speaking markets.

Byju’s offers visual and written learning modules through its app, which has grown to 300,000 annual paid subscribers across K-12 schools. The venture, started by Byju Raveendran, is backed by Sequoia Capital and Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, among others.
