New Delhi: Moser Baer, known as India’s largest and world’s second largest optical storage manufacturer has announced its national launch in the Home video market with 101 popular Hindi titles at just Rs28 for VCDs and Rs34 for DVDs.

The entry to this new segment is the result of an overwhelming response from the customers for its earlier launched titles in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

But this time, Moser Baer’s seems to have a lot in its kitty to entice customers. The brand plans to undertake two pilot Hindi film production projects. Moser Baer has formally inaugurated its online website www.moserbaerhomevideo.com, which offers the entire array of home videos released by them till date.

This will allow easy access to consumers as they order and obtain directly without additional delivery cost. The company will be using its proprietary and patented technology that augments quality and keeps check on costs. This will enable it to revolutionize the quality-price parity.

To make its product reach movie enthusiasts, the company has lined up 450 distributors across the country through 100,000 outlets including stationery shops, telecom shops and regular audio and video outlets. A nation-wide TV campaign will start from end April.

Commenting on that occasion, Deepak Puri, chairman and managing director of Moser Baer India said, "The entertainment industry is growing at a pace of 20% per annum and with our new technology, manufacturing capability and distribution network, we hope to revolutionize the entertainment industry with home video products. The launch of an online purchase portal will be a value add for our consumers"

Moser Baer’s new division is on the verge of acquiring copyrights for more than 7,000 titles in all major Indian languages, which comprises a third of all movies produced till date in India.
