Crompton Greaves to buy Ireland's Microsol Holdings
Mumbai: Transformer and switchgear maker Crompton Greaves Ltd said on 28 May 2007 it was buying out Ireland’s Microsol Holdings Ltd for an enterprise value of €10.50 million.
“This acquisition will increase the company’s strengths in the area of high-end engineering and sub-station automation capabilities," the statement said.
MHL, with operations in the UK, United States and Ireland, provides medium voltage and high voltage sub-station automation services.
Shares of Crompton Greaves were trading up 1.2% at Rs228.50, after hitting a high of 230.80 rupees, on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
