Mumbai: Reebok India has started its first fitness studio in Mumbai, as it seeks to reposition itself as a fitness brand.

The fitness studio will undertake classes in pilates, yoga, aerobics and other forms of workouts, said Somdeb Basu, brand director of Reebok India that plans to open one studio a month and have about 10-12 studios in the next one year in the metros and other large cities such as Pune, Chandigarh and Surat.

A walk-in class at the Reebok fitness studio would cost Rs600 and a monthly membership would be around Rs5,000 a month.

The revenues from the fitness studios will be shared by the fitness experts and the franchise store, said Basu while explaining that Reebok will provide the concept.

Reebok has 350 stores in India and plans to add 50 by the end of the year, said Basu. In 2015, the retailer will add 100 stores, he said.
