HCL Technologies wins contract from Sydney Trains
HCL said it will provide application management and support services to the Australian train operator
New Delhi: HCL Technologies Ltd, India’s fourth largest software service provider, on Wednesday said it will provide application management and support services to Australian train operator Sydney Trains as a strategic partner. The company did not disclose the value of the contract.
The company said it will use its proprietary technologies to ensure a seamless and risk-free transition with zero business disruption.
At 12.23pm, HCL shares were up 1.3% at ₹ 1,665.25 on BSE, while the benchmark 30-share Sensex was up 0.35% at 27,114.60 points.
HCL has extensive experience across industry segments including travel and hospitality. Transportation and logistics continues to be one of the growth areas for the company. Globally, HCL provides IT services to eight logistics service providers, seven airlines, nine railroads, two hotels and five national mail companies.
HCL said in a statement that the engagement with Sydney Trains underscored its growing leadership in the global travel, transport and logistics industry. Sydney Trains said it selected HCL due to its experience in managing complex applications landscape globally, strong delivery framework, knowledge management methodologies and expertise in the transport sector.
