India Wockhardt to sell Swiss firm’s osteoporosis drug

Mumbai: Drug maker Wockhardt Ltd said on Wednesday it signed a deal to sell Swiss firm DSM Nutritional Products AG’s branded osteoporosis drug Bonistein in India.
The anti-osteoporosis formulations market is worth more than Rs2.50 billion, and is growing at 19% annually, according to ORG-IMS, Wockhardt said in a statement.
The Indian firm said it will launch the drug in mid-2009.
