Grasim Q3 net rises 34.5%

Mumbai: Grasim Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported a 34.5% rise in quarterly net profit, slightly above analysts’ expectations, on the back of strong cement and viscose staple fibre sales.
Net profit rose to Rs554 crore ($140 million) in the fiscal third quarter ended 31 December from Rs412 crore in the same quarter a year earlier.
Net sales rose 15.4% to Rs26.30 billion from Rs22.80 billion.
