Mahindra and Mahindra sales drop 12.4% in March
Sales fell to 45,212 units from 51,636 units in the same period a year ago
Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd on Wednesday said overall sales in March fell 12.4% to 45,212 units from 51,636 units in the same period a year ago.
Domestic sales fell 15.1% to 41,193 units from 48,490 units a year earlier. Passenger vehicles sales fell 10% to 21,030 units from a year ago. Commercial vehicle sales fell 19% to 14,279 units.
However, exports rose 28% to 4,019 units from 3,146 units in the same period a year earlier, the company said.
For the year ended 31 March, M&M sold 4,64,848 units, down 8% compared with the previous fiscal, while exports rose 2% to 30196 units.
At 12.32pm, M&M rose 0.53% to ₹ 1,193.50 on BSE, while teh benchmark Sensex gained 0.03% to 27,967.05 points.
