AirAsia offers discount tickets for South East Asia travel

AirAsia is putting on sale 2 million promotional seats for travel from India to tourist destinations in South-East Asia

New Delhi: AirAsia Bhd., the South-East Asia’s biggest low-fare carrier, is putting on sale 2 million promotional seats that includes all-inclusive economy fares starting at Rs3,300 for travel from India to tourist destinations in South-East Asia next year.

The airline, which in association with Tata Sons Ltd is starting a domestic airline in India, is offering the low fares on flights from Kolkata and Chennai to Bangkok, and and all-inclusive fares starting at Rs4,000 for travel between Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi, Kolkata and Tiruchirappalli to Kuala Lumpur, the airline said in a statement.

These tickets will be available to be booked on AirAsia’s website 8-14 July for travel between 10 February to 5 August next year.

The current return economy ticket for Kolkata-Bangkok is going for Rs9,483.

One can also extend the journey from Kuala Lumpur by paying an extra Rs3,735 to travel to Seoul and Busan in South Korea, Rs4,310 to Taipei in Taiwan; and to Chengdu, Hangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai in China; Rs4,885 to Kathmandu in Nepal; Rs5,076 to Osaka and Tokyo in Japan; Rs5,268 to Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and the Gold Coast in Australia; and Rs11,397 to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

Those travelling to South-East Asia can also avail of an all-inclusive fare of Rs522 for travel from Kuala Lumpur to domestic Malaysian destinations such as Alor Setar, Langkawi, Penang, Kota Bharu, Kuching and more. They can also travel to international destinations such as Singapore, Hatyai, Krabi, Surat Thani, Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Bandung, Siem Reap by paying an extra starting fare of Rs1,042 one way.
