Loop ties up with ZTE for GSM network
New Delhi: Loop Telecom Pvt. Ltd has signed up Chinese equipment vendor ZTE Telecom India Pvt. Ltd for the roll-out of its GSM network in the country, the telco said in a statement.
Loop Telecom is a subsidiary of Loop Mobile, formerly known as BPL Mobile Communications. According to the agreement signed between the two, ZTE will supply end-to-end network equipment.
The deal also includes a number of network maintenance-related services, the statement said. ZTE has been selected as the supplier for the core GSM network, access and service layer, S. Bandopadhyay, chief technical operator, Loop Telecom said in the statement.
