Indian Oil appoints B. Ashok as chairman
B. Ashok to take over as chairman from 16 July
New Delhi: India’s largest oil marketing company Indian Oil Corp. Ltd on Wednesday said it has appointed B. Ashok as its chairman with effect from 16 July.
Prior to his appointment as chairman, Ashok was executive director (retail sales) and executive director at the corporate office in New Delhi, the firm said in a statement.
He also led the oil firm’s overseas business in South-East Asia.
A mechanical engineer from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Madras University with a post-graduate management qualification from the national management programme at the Management Development Institute, Ashok has over 33 years of experience in the oil and gas Industry.
Indian Oil is India’s largest oil marketing company by sales with revenue of 473,210 crore and net profit of 7,019 crore for the year 2013-14.
