Transport Corp targets Rs20 bn revenue by FY10

New Delhi: Transport Corp of India Ltd aims to achieve a revenue of Rs20 billion by 2009-10 and will grow its core margins by 1 percentage point each year for the next three years as it increases the proportion of high-margin services in its portfolio, an official said.
“We have the new divisions - express service, supply chain, global services which will be driving growth in the next three years,” Executive Director Vineet Agarwal of the logistics firm told a news conference on Thursday.
For the year ended March 2008, it posted a revenue of Rs12.03 billion, which it sees growing by 20-25% in FY09.
Agarwal also said the proportion of the lower margin trucking business would come down to 40% in next 3-4 years from current 54%.
