Mumbai: Engineering firm Simplex Infrastructure today said its net profit for the second quarter ended 30 September grew 47% at Rs28.07 crore over the corresponding period a year ago.
The firm had a net profit of Rs19.10 crore for the September quarter last fiscal, Simplex Infrastructures Ltd said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Net sales rose to Rs1,008.09 crore for the quarter under review from Rs577.27 crore for the same period last year.
For the six-month ended 30 September, the firm registered a net profit of Rs65.69 crore against Rs38.53 crore for the same period a year ago.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs230, up 12.14% in early trade on the BSE.
