Mumbai: Atlas Brands, which retails and distributes premium brands, said that makers of leather goods and accessories Bulchee plans to ramp-up its store-network by adding 30 more outlets by March 2011.
“We plan to set up 30 stores by March 2011, mainly in Tier-I cities. We will make an investment of Rs25-30 lakh per store covering an area of over 300-400 sq ft. It will be a mix of company-owned and franchisee stores,” Atlas Brands managing director Ramesh Bulchandani said.
Atlas Brands, a manufacturer and wholesaler in leather accessories, retails and distributes premium brands such as Bulchee, Louis Philippe, fashion brands such as Allen Solly and Van Heusen and popular brands such as Ufficio and Peter England.
Currently, there are five brand outlets across Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.
The company’s strategy is to initially focus on Tier-I cities and then move into the interior.
“We will first focus on Tier-I cities. From 2012 onwards, we will move into Tier-II destinations. The 30 stores will come up in locations such as Cochin, Chennai, Mysore, Hyderabad, Pune and Coimbatore, among others,” he said.
Bulchee’s accessory lines currently available in the market include men’s belts, wallets, ties and ladies handbags, among others.
