Mumbai: United Spirits Ltd, India’s biggest producer of spirits, on Monday reported a fourth-quarter profit of Rs53.52 crore.
The Bangalore-based company posted revenues of Rs687 crore in the three months ended 31 March 2007, United Spirits said in a statement to the National Stock Exchange on Monday.
United Spirits, controlled by billionaire Vijay Mallya’s UB Group, was formed last year by folding McDowell & Co., Shaw Wallace and Co., Herbertsons Ltd and other spirit companies in the UB Group into a single entity.
The company owns 145 brands and is focusing on 40 key brands. It has 69 factories across India.
