New Delhi: Engine maker Cummins India on Thursday reported 66.06% increase in its net profit for the quarter ended 31 December 2012, at Rs.234.08 crore.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs.140.96 crore in the corresponding period previous year, Cummins India said in a filing to the BSE.
The net income during the third quarter of the current fiscal also went up by 13.21% to Rs.1,089.46 crore from Rs.962.37 crore in the year-ago period, it added. The company’s board of directors also declared an interim dividend of Rs. 5 per equity share of Rs.2 each for 2012-13.
Shares of Cummins India today closed trading 1.99% up at Rs.488.55 apiece on BSE.
