New Delhi: Wellness company VLCC Healthcare Ltd on Thursday said it has acquired Kuala Lumpur-based Wyann International for an undisclosed sum as it seeks to expand in South Asian nations including Singapore.
Sandeep Ahuja, managing director at VLCC Healthcare, described the deal as “mid-sized” without divulging more details.
Wyann International owns and operates a chain of 22 slimming and beauty outlets across Malaysia, offering services and products through brands such as Bizzy Body, Facial First and Masculine.
“This deal will further strengthen our foothold in the South Asian markets and act as a springboard to further expand in the regions of Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand,” said Ahuja, adding that more deals were in the offing.
VLCC is present in 10 countries including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the UAE and Bahrain. In the next 18 months, it plans to expand to Myanmar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Kenya.
