Mumbai: Agrochemical company United Phosphorus on 29 October posted a net profit of Rs88.27 crore for the quarter ended 30 September, against Rs65.60 crore for the same period last year.
Total income of the group rose to Rs886.67 crore for the quarter, against Rs516.87 crore for the year-ago quarter, United Phosphorus informed the BSE.
However, in the standalone section, the firm posted a loss of Rs4.25 crore, while the corresponding figures for last fiscal was a profit of Rs39.52 crore.
The standalone income of the firm rose to Rs395.09 crore for the reviewed quarter, against Rs391.03 crore for the corresponding period last year, the company added.
United Phosphorus had acquired Cerexagri Group of Companies during the March 2007 quarter, hence the results of the firm are not comparable with those of corresponding periods of the previous year, the company said.
Shares of the firm were trading at Rs369, up 0.54% in afternoon trade on BSE.
Ipca Lab net up at Rs45.42 cr
Pharma company Ipca Laboratories on 29 October posted an increase of 28.3% in net profit at Rs45.42 crore for the quarter ended 30 September, compared to Rs35.4 crore for the same period last year.
Total income of the company has increased 23.65 per cent to ₹ 300.45 crore for the quarter under review, against ₹ 242.98 for the same quarter last year.
The company has declared an interim dividend of 35 per cent for the current financial year, Ipca said in a communique to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The company’s shares were trading at Rs627, up 1.04% in afternoon trade on BSE.
