Mumbai: Public sector lender Dena Bank said that its net profit for the second quarter ended 30 September grew 11.59% at Rs102.83 crore over the corresponding period a year ago.
It had a net profit of Rs92.15 crore in Q2 of FY’08, Dena Bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Total income of the lender rose 19.51% to Rs913.64 crore in the September quarter from Rs764.48 crore in the same period last fiscal.
For the six months ended 30 September, Dena Bank reported a net profit of Rs171.13 crore, a 15.84% growth over the year-ago period. The bank had a total income of Rs1,748.24 crore in the first half of this fiscal.
Shares of Dena Bank were trading at Rs34.05, down 2.16% in afternoon trade on the BSE.
