Italian firm, Fratelli Guzzini makes foray into India

New Delhi : 80-year old domestic home ware manufacturing company, Fratelli Guzzini has entered the Indian market .
Having pioneered the use of acrylic material for everyday use products, the company has stood the test of time, with its high quality and durability standards.
The Guzzini collection of kitchen ware, electrical appliances and home ware products are designed by reputed designers like Ettore Sottsass, Ross Lovegrove, Antonio Citterio, Karim Rashid and Robin Levien. More than 50 designers from Italy, Japan, France , UK, USA, Egypt and Australia have come togeteher to create user friendly, dishwasher-safe having strong shock proof specifications (using polycarbonate).
According to Domenico Guzzini, president, Fratelli Guzzini, “Our products are used in many Italian and international homes and we see India as a highly appreciative and booming market.”
In India, the Guzzini products will be available through shop-in-shop counters in large format retail stores and shopping arcades.
According to Akash Kakkar, director, Eurolite, “The trend in India today is for trendier and modern products and there is an awareness for high quality branded items.”
With a presence in 85 countries already, the compnany is hoping to create a niche for itself, inspite of the deeply entrenched presence of direct selling companies like Tupperware.
