Kingfisher says Q3 loss increased to Rs413 crore
Mumbai:The Indian carrier owned by the nation’s largest brewer, Kingfisher Airlines Ltd said third-quarter loss increased to Rs413 crore from Rs191 crore a year earlier.
Income from operations for the three months ended 31 December increased to Rs1,450 crore from Rs568 crore, it said in an emailed statement on Sunday.
Unitech’s third quarter profit declines 74%
Mumbai: Unitech Ltd, India’s second biggest developer by assets, reported a 74% third quarter profit decline as faltering economic growth reduced demand for residential and commercial space.
Net profit fell to Rs136 crore for the quarter ended 31 December from Rs526 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, the New Delhi-based company said in a statement on Saturday.
Revenues fell to Rs490 crore during the quarter from Rs1,140 crore in the year-ago period.
Unitech shares have fallen 92% in the past year, more than the 79% decline in larger rival DLF Ltd and the 47% drop in the Sensex, the bellwether index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The stock rose 2.7% on Friday to Rs32.15 on BSE.
Grasim Industries net dips 36% to Rs460 cror
Mumbai: Grasim Industries Ltd, the flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group, on Saturday reported a 36.26% fall in net profit for the quarter ended 31 December against the corresponding year-ago period. The firm’s profit dropped to Rs459.55 crore for the quarter, against Rs720.99 crore in third quarter of fiscal 2008.
However, revenues for the quarter rose to Rs4,702.69 crore from Rs4,426.64 crore a year ago. On a stand-alone basis, Grasim net profit stood at Rs329.56 crore in the third quarter of the current fiscal, a 40.49% decline from Rs553.79 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Ansal Properties’ Q3 net loss is Rs15.73 crore
Mumbai: Real estate developer Ansal Properties and Infrastructure Ltd said its consolidated net loss in the December quarter of the current fiscal stood at Rs15.73 crore, while it had a net profit of Rs52.15 crore in the corresponding period a year earlier.
Consolidated total income dipped to Rs211.01 crore for the December quarter of the current fiscal from 267.23 crore in the year-ago period.
On a stand-alone basis, the company reported a 94.21% dip in its net profit at Rs2.83 crore for the December quarter. On Friday, shares of Ansal Properties and Infrastructure closed at Rs27.10, up 14.59% on BSE.
GVK Power Oct-Dec net profit slumps 45%
Mumbai: Net profit for GVK Power and Infrastructure Ltd fell 45% to Rs22.3 crore for the quarter ended 31 December against Rs40.35 crore for the corresponding period a year earlier. Revenues fell to Rs108.02 crore from Rs1,22.68 crore.
