New Delhi: Over the last few weeks, as the economic slowdown has persisted, the shadow of employee lay-offs and pay cuts has begun to loom over corporate India.
On Just to Clarify this week, we wanted to look at the fundamentals of how these decisions are made, the management theories that drive them, and the choices that corporations face in making these decisions.
Our guest on Just to Clarify this week is P. Thiruvengadam, senior director of Management Consultancy Services at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in India. Thiruvengadam has worked for over 30 years for companies across India in strategy, processes and human capital, and he is a member of the CII’s Committee on Total Cost Management.
A reminder for our listeners: If you want any aspect of the news explained on Just to Clarify, please do write in to me at samanth.s@livemint.com.
