Mumbai:Axis Bank Ltd on Tuesday said it has appointed V. Srinivasan, a former banker at JPMorgan Chase and Co., as its executive director in charge of corporate banking.
The bank currently has three executive directors—Hemant Kaul, S.K. Chakrabarti and V.K. Ramani. However, none of them are on the bank’s board. Srinivasan was managing director and head of markets at JP Morgan, with additional responsibilities of chief executive officer for JPMorgan Chase Bank (Mumbai) and chairman of JPMorgan Securities (India) Pvt. Ltd.

BAE hires Bhargava, Chandra as advisers
Bangalore: British defence firm BAE Systems Plc said it has hired as advisers India’s former ambassador to the US, Naresh Chandra, and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd chairman R.C. Bhargava, for its business in the country. The formation of the advisory board enhances the company’s ability to execute its home market strategy in India, BAE said in a statement.
