Chambal Fertilisers net up 69% at Rs237 crore

Mumbai: Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals on 15 May posted a consolidated net profit of Rs237.43 crore for the financial year ended 31 March, up 69.36% over last year.

The firm had a net profit of Rs140.19 crore in the 2006-07 fiscal, Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Total income rose to Rs3,285.04 crore for fiscal 2008, from Rs3,005.59 crore last year.

The board has declared a dividend of 18% on shares of face value of Rs10 each for the financial year ended 31 March.

The firm announced a standalone net profit of ₹ 03.8 crore, up 16.13% over last year. It had a net profit of ₹ 175.49 crore in the fiscal ended 31 March, 2007.

Total income rose to Rs2,802.3 crore for the fiscal ended 31 March, from Rs2,638.61 crore in the previous fiscal.

Shares of the firm were trading at Rs72.95, up 1.67% late afternoon on the BSE.
