SpiceJet posts loss in third quarter
New Delhi: SpiceJet Ltd., India’s second-biggest low-fare airline, reported a net loss in its fiscal third quarter after it paid more to buy fuel.
The airline posted a net loss of Rs213.7 million ($4.9 million) in the three months ended on 28 February compared with a Rs43.01 million profit a year earlier, the airline said in an e-mailed release. Revenue rose to Rs2.46 billion from Rs1.32 billion.
