Mumbai: LIC Housing Finance on 25 April announced a net profit of Rs118.1 crore for the fourth quarter ended 31 March, 2008, a 32.49% growth over the corresponding period a year ago.
The company had a net profit of Rs89.14 crore in the fourth quarter of the financial year ended 31 March, 2007, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Total income rose to Rs629.25 crore in the quarter under review, from Rs451.2 crore in the year-ago period.
The consolidated net profit for the financial year ended 31 March, 2008 was Rs391.51 crore, up 39% over last year.
For the fiscal year ended 31 March, the standalone net profit of the firm rose 38.71% to Rs387.19 crore, while total income rose to Rs2,164.92 crore.
The board of directors has declared a dividend of Rs10 on every share of Rs10 each, the filing added.
ABB Q1 net up 36% at Rs118 cr
Engineering firm ABB Ltd on 25 April announced a standalone net profit of Rs117.69 crore for the quarter ended 31 March, a 35.85% increase over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The company had a net profit of Rs86.63 crore in the quarter ended 31 March, 2007, ABB said in a BSE filing.
The standalone total income of the company increased to Rs1,553.80 crore for the quarter ended on March from Rs1,327.61 crore in the period under review last year.
