Agilent to invest $35 million in India, hire more

Bangalore: Agilent Technologies Inc., the world’s biggest maker of scientific-testing equipment, plans to invest $35 million(Rs155 crore) in India in the next two years.
The Santa Clara, California-based company on 8 March 2007 also said that it plans to increase its workforce in India to 2,000 from the present 1,300. Agilent Technologies India president and country general manager Venkatesh Valluri told reporters in Bangalore that the company will hire 700 workers till early 2009.
