ONGC to spend $1.3 bn for maintaining output

New Delhi: Oil and Natural Gas Corp. Ltd (ONGC) plans to spend $1.3 billion (Rs6,550 crore) this year to maintain output from aging fields.
ONGC wants to sustain output levels in areas off India’s west coast, including Bassein, which supplies 33% of the nation’s current gas output, Sudhir Vasudeva, director of offshore operations, said.
