Mumbai: Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) on 11 May posted a net profit of Rs181.88 crore for the fourth quarter as compared to net loss of Rs29.50 crore during the same quarter last year.
The total income (net of excise) grew 9% to Rs6,835.94 crore for the quarter ended 31 March, from Rs6,433.41 crore a year ago, MRPL informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The board of directors of the company at its meeting declared a dividend of eight per cent on the equity capital and 0.01 per cent on preference share capital for the year ended March 31, 2007.
The company recorded a net profit of Rs525.53 crore for the year ended 31 March, as compared to Rs 371.61 crore during a year-ago and the total income (net of excise) increased to Rs 28,706.83 crore from Rs 25,044.32 crore.
The shares of MRPL closed at Rs41.60, up 0.97% on BSE.
