Mphasis Q3 net jumps two-fold to Rs229.23 cr

Mumbai: IT firm Mphasis on Thursday said its consolidated net profit jumped two-fold to Rs229.23 crore for the third quarter ended 31 July 2009, over the same period last year.
Revenues rose to Rs1,105.57 crore for the quarter under review, against Rs775.95 crore in the same period previous fiscal, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
“The company changed its financial year to November-October from April-March with effect from November 2008," the filing added.
On the standalone basis, the company has posted a net profit of Rs226.48 crore registering a two-fold jump from the same quarter last year.
Revenues rose to Rs907.68 crore for the third quarter ended 31 July, against Rs584.12 crore in the same period last year.
Mphasis was trading at Rs531.90 on the BSE, down 1.12% from previous close.
