Mumbai: Indian drug maker Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd said on 10 September, the World Health Organisation (WHO) had included three more of its anti-AIDS drugs in its pre-qualification list.

The Ranbaxy anti-retroviral drugs added to the list are tablet combinations of lamivudine and zidovudine with a single tablet of efavirenz, and two tablet combinations of lamivudine and stavudine with a single tablet of efavirenz, it said.

The lamivudine/stavudine and efavirenz formulations are the first by any company on the WHO list, Ranbaxy said in a statement.

Ranbaxy now has 15 anti-retroviral drugs on the WHO pre-qualification list, it said.
