Mumbai:
Bajaj Auto Ltd, India’s largest three-wheeler maker, sold 343,946 motorcycles and commercial vehicles in December, 13% more than a year ago, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
Exports accounted for 126,016 units, an increase of 5% over the last year.
However, total sales between April and December fell 2% to about 3.26 million units, dragged by exports that declined 4% to 1.18 million.
Shares of the Pune-based auto maker were about 1.5% higher at Rs.2,168.50 each at 12.30pm, while the Sensex gained 0.75% to 19,728.55 points.
