BackJabong appoints Sachin Sinha as chief technology officer

Online fashion retailer Jabong.com has appointed Sachin Sinha as chief technology officer, the company said on Tuesday.
Sinha was heading Amazon’s engineering department prior to joining Jabong. He will be based in Bengaluru and will lead the technology initiatives for Jabong.
Sinha comes with 16 years of experience in software design, development and project leadership. Sinha was also the founder of Sachin IQLECT which aimed to provide products and solutions in the Big Data space.
Prior to this he was the engineering head at Amazon for the e-commerce sponsored links platform. In addition, he also helped develop an e-commerce portal for the US real estate market and sold it to a bank in the US.
“I am looking forward to his leadership in technology initiatives for the company as we build our new technology labs. E-commerce is a very dynamic sector and technology wise we have to innovate at a supersonic rate to stay adept with the industry," said Praveen Sinha, founder and managing director of Jabong.com.
