Mumbai: Engineering firm Larsen and Toubro today said it has got orders worth Rs605 crore in the last quarter of FY’09 for engineering and construction related works.
In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, L&T said its construction division would execute these contracts.
L&T has got a Rs165 crore order from the Andhra Pradesh government for supplying potable water. The project is to be completed in 15 months.
Besides, it received Rs133 crore order from the Delhi Jal Board for designing and laying pipelines. The project is scheduled to be completed in 21 months.
Another order worth Rs118 crore, it secured from Utkal Alumina International for designing and constructing raw water transmission pipeline at their Alumina plant in Orissa. It is expected to be completed in 17 months.
Further, L&T bagged a contract worth Rs189 crore from SAIL-IISCO Steel plant for civil works in West Bengal, to be completed in 12 months.
Shares of L&T were today trading at Rs836, up 3.64% on the BSE.
