Mumbai: Reliance Power Ltd on Thursday said profit for the fiscal year ended 31 March 2009, grew at least 100%.
Annual profit rose to Rs244.51 crore from Rs85.38 crore a year earlier, the Mumbai-based company said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Reliance Power, which is part of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani group, listed on the Indian stock exchanges on 11 February last year. The company is currently building 14 large and medium power plants across the country, of which three are ultra mega projects - at Sasan in Madhya Pradesh, Krishnapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and Tilaiya in Bihar. Ultra mega power projects are of at least 3,000 MW capacity.
