Software major IBM and Indian School of Business (ISB) signed a memorandum of understanding to conduct joint research on Service Science, Management and Engineering.
The research would develop case studies for streamlined service processes across several industries, an IBM release said.
“Innovation requires new skills to ensure that people, countries and economies remain competitive in this globally integrated world. By investing in initiatives like Service Science, Management and Engineering, IBM and India would provide those skills,” IBM Corporation Executive Vice-President Innovation and Technology Nick Donfrio said.
Under the MoU, IBM would support ISB to open SSME programme that would include high-end research, development of case studies and curriculum for Executive Education and Post Graduate Programme in Management, IBM India Research Laboratory’s Director Daniel M Dias said. The new interdisciplinary academic field SSME aims at studying, improving and teaching service innovation, the release added.
