Mumbai: IT services provider R Systems said on 28 December it will acquire Sento Europe from US-based Sento Corp. to increase its range of products and services.
The company would acquire Netherlands-based Sento Europe BV and France-based Sento SAS. (collectively known as Sento Europe).
The board at its meeting on 27 December, approved the acquisition which is subject to necessary approvals, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
R Systems said it plans to complete the transaction by 15 January 2008.
Sento Europe having operations in Enschede, Netherlands and Metz, France provides a wide range of integrated technical support and customer care services through multiple channels in 16 European languages.
“The combination will strategically compliment our iPLM business with a strong base in Europe, extend the breadth and depth of our offering and will be accretive to our earnings in FY 2008," R Systems CEO Reggie Singh said.
R Systems is a software product development and BPO services partner for over thirty software product and service companies. Its Integrated Product Lifecycle Management (iPLM) services helps both emerging and established product companies to choose specific services from a suite of services.
Shares of the company were at ₹ 131, up 17.81% on the BSE in morning trade.
