Hyderabad: India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Ltd has approached the Andhra Pradesh government with a proposal to locate its third manufacturing facility in the state involving an investment of Rs 1,000 crore, said AP Industrial Investment Corporation, or APIIC.
APIIC, the nodal agency for investments in the state, said Tuesday the officials of Honda sought land of 100 acres for a facility to come up in two phases involving equal investments of Rs 500 crore each. The first phase will have a capacity of 2,000 units per month.
Further, the corporation said Italian textile machinery manufacturer Camozzi group proposed to set up Rs 300 crore facility to produce textile machines and other industrial equipment. The Korean power equipment producer Hyosung Corporation submitted a proposal to set up a manufacturing facility of high voltage power transformers involving an investment of Rs 450 crore.
