Salebhai.com raises Rs10 crore from Brand Capital
Salebhai Internet has raised the money to fund customer acquisition
New Delhi: E-commerce portal Salebhai Internet Pvt. Ltd raised 10 crore from Brand Capital, the company said on Tuesday. Brand Capital is the investment arm of Bennett Coleman and Co. (BCCL). The company has raised the money to fund customer acquisition.
Founded in 2015, by Vishwa Vijay Singh, Purba Kalita and Pramod Rao, Salebhai Internet is an online marketplace for regional-specific products. It currently sources native products of 17 diaspora communities, offering sweets, chocolates, bakery, spices, dry fruits, beverages, pickles and handicrafts, among others, from over 100 cities and 250 sellers.
“We are extremely delighted to have secured such significant funding from Brand Capital. I’m confident that our partnership with this esteemed establishment will help us expand our footprint and acquire more customers in India and abroad." Singh said in a statement.
